In commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary and to honor the legacy of Pennsylvania’s strong commitment to education, America250PA will be awarding $250,000 in scholarships to deserving Pennsylvania students attending Pennsylvania colleges and universities in the 2026/2027 academic school year.

Big Sun Scholarships

The Big Sun Organization is proud to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating. Visit the website for details and application. Deadline: June 19, 2026.

The Coolidge Scholarship

FOR HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS 
The Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, four-year, merit scholarship that can be used at any accredited college or university in the United States. Academic excellence is the primary criterion considered by the Coolidge Scholarship. Secondary criteria include an interest in public policy  and an appreciation of the values President Coolidge championed. Keystone Contractors Association Scholarship

The Keystone Contractors Association (KCA) is encouraging Pennsylvania students with an interest in the construction industry to apply for its scholarship program.

Applicants must be Pennsylvania residents; attend a Pennsylvania college, university or trade school with focus on a construction-oriented degree; and pursue education and careers with the goal of building and strengthening Pennsylvania's communities, economy and infrastructure.

This scholarship program is open to graduating high school seniors, as well as current college students who plan to work in the construction industry. The one-year scholarship of up to $10,000 is renewable for up to three years for a student in good standing.

Elks National Foundation

​​​​All high school students in the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Area are encouraged, and welcome to submit an application, properly prepared, on-line for judging and selection, at the local level. The top three girls, and the top thre boys, based on our scoring system, will advance to the district level, and then possibly to the State and National levels. Each student will be notified as this happens over the next several months.

Financial Literacy Scholarship Competition
 

Pennsylvania students in grades 9-12 are being invited to enter the 13th annual Student Financial Literacy Scholarship Competition.

Participants are encouraged to submit a short essay, poem or video that fits this year’s theme: “What Does Financial Literacy Mean to Me?”

Student winners will be announced and publicly honored during Financial Literacy Month, which occurs every year in April.

Competition prizes will be offered as follows:

  • One First Place ($1,500) award for each grade level (9–12).
  • One Honorable Mention ($500) award for each grade level (9–12).
  • One Grand Prize ($2,500) for the best overall entry.

Additionally, Harrisburg University will award a one-time, $1,000 scholarship to each student who submits a competition entry and then applies to and is accepted as a full-time student at the university. Harrisburg University hosts the competition in partnership with Pennsylvania Office of Auditor General and Members 1st Federal Credit Union.

Grow PA Scholarship Grant Application

The Grow PA Scholarship Grant Application for the 2026–27 academic year can be completed as of February 5, 2026.

Grow PA Scholarship Grants are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, determined by the date a complete application is received. Renewal applicants receive priority until July 1, 2026.

To qualify, students must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and are encouraged to complete the FAFSA before applying for a Grow PA Grant. The Grow PA Scholarship Grant provides up to $5,000 per year for students enrolled in eligible programs of study for a maximum of four academic years.

Recipients must complete their program requirements and live and work in Pennsylvania for 12 months for each year they receive funding. Failure to meet these obligations will convert the scholarship grant to a loan that must be repaid.

The Hagan Scholarship

The Hagan Scholarship is a need-based merit scholarship for goal-driven students in the high school graduating class.   We would like to award 1,200 new four-year scholarships for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. T

The PSBT Scholarship Award supports 10 graduating high school seniors by easing the financial burden of higher education. Applicants are evaluated on academic excellence, leadership, community involvement, and financial need. Recipients receive a grant for tuition, books, or other expenses at an accredited institution. PSECU Scholarship Program

The PSECU Scholarship program allows students to focus on their education rather than their finances. Winners receive a $2,000 scholarship every year over the next four years for a total scholarship value of up to $8,000 per student. Scholarship winners must remain enrolled as active students throughout their college education to maintain and receive their scholarship funds.
